Call for candidates for a doctoral position!
We're looking for a doctoral candidate contributing to the project “Symbolic Resources and Political Structures on the Periphery: Legitimization of the Elites in Poland and Norway, c. 1000-1300"
Scope of work in the project:
- Research in the field of history on the topic of the legitimization of the elites in Norway and Poland, 1000 – 1300 (including the cult of saints);
- Publication of articles as a fruit of the research conducted in the project;
- Presentation of the research results on conferences or workshops;
- Participation in the edition of publications as a fruit of the research conducted in the project;
- Participation in the project administration.
Expectations:
- Polish and/or Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language): fluent;
- English: ability to present the research results and to prepare publications;
- Latin: ability to read;
- Proven interest in medieval history;
- Ability to conduct research within the scope of the project and to communicate its results;
- Ability and willingness to work in a team, to share the research results, ability to work to deadlines;
Selection criteria (necessary to meet until 1.10.2021)
- MA in history with a specialization in medieval history;
- Status of a PhD candidate;
