Zbigniew Dalewski was also Professor at the University of Białystok (2007-2015). He completed his PhD (1994) and habilitation (2006) in history at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2017 he was awarded the title of Professor in the Humanities. His research focuses on political and cultural history of the Middle Ages, especially in East-Central Europe. His scholarly interests include research on medieval rulership, political culture, historiography, and ritual studies.
He is an author of several books, articles and book chapters, including: Władza – przestrzeń – ceremoniał.
