Mika Boros (b. 1990), PhD fellow at the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo.

With an archaeological background, Mika Boros studied numismatics at the University of Vienna, graduating 2017 with a thesis on medieval mint masters. Currently, she is working on her PhD-thesis „MONETA NOVA – The beginning of coinage in Austria, Norway and Poland in the 11th and 12th century” at the University of Oslo.

Her main research interests are medieval numismatics, coin finds, economic- and money history.

As a member of the ELITES team, Boros focuses on socio-economic aspects of high medieval society, particularly the comparing implications of monetization in both Poland and Norway.
