Anna Agnieszka Dryblak (b. 1990) completed her PhD at the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw in 2020 (supervisor: Prof. Roman Michałowski,).
Her PhD thesis concerns female dynastic foundations, their significance and role in Poland (Female monastic foundations, their significance and role in Poland in the 10th-13th century. Reception of foreign patterns or a creation of an original model?).
Her research interests include medieval monasticism, the role of women in political and religious culture of Early and High Middle Ages, hagiography and the cult of saints.
As a postdoc in the ELITES team she focuses on monastic foundations and the role of abbesses as representatives of the founder family in the legitimization of power.
